Faith In Angles

Angels are neither male nor female; neither eats nor drink; neither marry nor reproduce.

They're made of light and therefore they can change themselves into various forms.

They also have the ability to transform them-selves into any form however they never do any such thing knowingly or unknowingly opposing the command of Almighty Allah (ﷻ).

Every Angel has a selected assignment to accomplish. Some Angels deliver Wahi (Revelation) from Almighty Allah (ﷻ), to His Prophets. Some of them are responsible for the rain and others are responsible for supplying provision to worldly creatures. Some Angels form the face of the fetus in the womb of the mother, while others take care of the changes in human bodies.

Some Angels are responsible for supplying protection to living beings from their enemies and lurking dangers. Some Angels move about to attend the gathering and meetings held in remembrance of Almighty Allah (ﷻ), and His Prophets.

Some Angels carry-forward the salutations and greetings of Muslims to Prophet Muhammad (ﷺ), while others have been assigned the task of blowing the decisive Soor (Clarion) right before the Day of Judgment. Sayyiduna Iibrail (Gabriel) is the Archangel. His title is ‘Rooh-ul-Ameen.’ He visited the Holy Prophet twenty-four thousand times, Nabi Adam twelve times, Nabi Idris four times, Nabi Nooh fifty times, Nabi Ibrahim 42 times, Nabi Ayyub three times, Nabi Ya’qoob four times, Nabi Mfisa four hundred times and Nabi ‘lsa ten times.

The other well-known Angels are Sayyiduna Mikaeel, Sayyiduna Israfil and Sayyiduna Izra’eel Sayyiduna Izra’eel is the Angel of death. Then there include Angels who are carrying the ‘Arsh (Throne) and the Kursi (Chair).

The Angels possess no mindful or reason of their own. They are created simply to obey Allah (ﷻ), the All-Powerful. They never ask questions like why, how and what without the permission of Allah (ﷻ). They are totally dedicated to the Will of Allah (ﷻ), the Supreme Creator.
Two Angels are always accompanying each person on both the shoulders called ‘Kiritnan Kiitibin’, they are the Scribes.
They record the everyday account of an individual’s good and bad deeds. The other two famous Angels are ‘Munkar-Nakit’. After entombment, these Angels call on the dead and ask three concerns pertaining to faith:

1. Who is your Rabb (Lord)?

2. What is your religion?

3. What did you used to say about him (referring to the Holy Prophet Muhammad (ﷺ))?

The additional super-natural creatures are called jinns (Genies). They are created from fire. Some of them possess the power to adapt to any form they wish.
They have very prolonged lives although some of their dimensions, like intelligence and spirits are just like human beings. They eat, drink and procreate and die as humans.
There are Muslims as well as non-Muslims amongst the jinns and also to treat all of them metaphorically as evil doers is strictly prohibited.
