Prophets Of The Quran
The Quran mentions twenty-five prophets, most of whom are discussed in the Bible as well.
So, who were these prophets?
Exactly where did they live?
Who had been they sent to?
What exactly are their names in the Quran and also the Bible?
And what are some of the miracles that they performed?
We will certainly answer these basic questions.
Just before we begin, we must realise two matters:
a. In Arabic 2 separate words are used, Nabi and Rasool. A Nabi is a prophet and a Rasool is a messenger or an apostle. Both words are close in meaning in regards to our purpose.
b. There are 4 men discussed in the Quran about whom Muslim scholars are not certain whether they were prophets or not: Dhul-Qarnain (18:83), Luqman (Chapter 31), Uzair (9:30), and Tubba (44:37, 50:14).
