Prophets Dawud - Eesa

Dawud عليه السلام

Dawud or David is mentioned in the Quran sixteen times. He guided the Israelites in war and won, and had many miracles.

Suleiman عليه السلام

Dawud (as) son, Suleiman or Solomon is mentioned seventeen times and was also a king with great miracles. Both of them are buried in Jerusalem.

Zakariyyah عليه السلام

Zakariyyah or Zechariah is mentioned seven times. He was a carpenter. He raised Mary, the mother of Jesus.

Yahya عليه السلام

Yahya or John is the son of Zechariah and is talked about five times. He was killed in Jerusalem, and his head was taken to Damascus.

Eesa عليه السلام

The name Eesa or Jesus is discussed twenty five times, Messiah eleven times, and the ‘son of Mary’ twenty-three times. He was born in Bethlehem, Palestine. He's said to have visited Egypt with his mother. He is the last prophet among the Children of Israel.

Five prophets were Arabs: Hud, Salih, Shuaib, Ismail, and Muhammad. Four of them were send to the Arabs, whereas Muhammad was send to all human beings.
