Aadam or Adam is the very first prophet in Islam.  He is also the very first human being in accordance to traditional Islamic belief.  Adam is mentioned in twenty-five verses and twenty-five times in the Quran.  God created Adam with His hands and also created his wife, Hawwa or Eve from Adam’s rib.  They lived-in Paradise then was expelled from there to earth for disobedience.  The story of his 2 sons is discussed once in Chapter 5 (Al-Maidah).

Idrees عليه السلام

Idrees or Enoch is mentioned 2 times in the Quran.  Apart from that little is known about him.  He is believed to have lived in Babylon, Iraq and migrated to Egyptian and that he was the first one to write using the pen.

Noah عليه السلام

Nooh or Noah is discussed forty-three times in the Quran.  He is considered to be from Kirk, Iraq.  Polytheism (shirk) was seen the very first time among his people who lived near to the present day city of Kufa, in the south of Iraq.  His wife was an disbeliever as mentioned in Chapter 66 (At-Tahrim).  His son also decided to go with disbelief and was drowned in the flood.  The story is seen in Chapter 11 (Hud).
One of his great miracles was the Arc that he built on God’s instructions that rested on Mt.  Judi and that is said to be between the Syrian-Turkish border today close to the city of Ayn Diwar.

Hud عليه السلام

Hud is considered to be Heber in English.  He is mentioned seven times in the Quran.  Hud is the very first person to have spoken Arabic and also was the first Arab prophet.  He then was sent to the people of Aad in the region known as Al-Ahqaf which is around Hadramaut in Yemen and the Ar-Rub al-Khali (the Empty Quarter).  God destroyed all of them by a fierce wind that blew for eight days and seven nights.

Salih عليه السلام

Salih is described nine times in the Quran.  He was an Arab prophet sent to the people of Thamud that lived in an area referred to as Al-Hijr between Hijaz and Tabuk.  Al-Hijr was the ancient name.  Today, the area is known as "Madain Salih" in Saudi Arabia and is also a UNESCO world heritage site.  They are splendid structures literally carved in the mountains.  The people demanded he produce a female camel out from the rocks to prove his claim to being a prophet.  He did, and warned them never to harm it, but they killed it regardless of the warning of Salih.  A loud shriek – saihah - killed all of them.
